GBP/USD: Pound u-turns on renewed Brexit optimism

The British pound traded with gains on Wednesday after the United Kingdom House of Commons voted in favour of the amendment stating that London will not leave the European Union without a deal.

Meanwhile, Labour Party Leader Jeremy Corbyn reportedly accepted an invitation from Prime Minister Theresa May for talks later in the day.

Sterling was 0.20% higher compared to the dollar to change hands for 1.3106 at 10:35 am GMT, while the euro fell 0.26% against the pound to sell for 0.8718 at 10:36 am GMT. The pound added 0.25% against the yen, going for 143.3595 at 10:36 am GMT.
