Just Eat’s CEO Peter Plumb steps down

By Jeff Davies

Food delivery service Just Eat plc announced its CEO Peter Plumb is stepping down after spending a little more than a year at the position. The company’s chief customer officer Peter Duffy will be taking over as an interim chief executive while a search for a permanent successor is conducted, the company said in a statement.

Mike Evans, chairman of the Just Eat’s board of directors, thanked Plumb for setting the company on a “new course which better places it to address a much larger and rapidly expanding market,” adding Duffy “will continue to drive the execution of our strategy, which has the full backing of the Board.”

Meanwhile, the former CEO stated it was the “right time” for him to step down and “make way for a new leader for the next exciting wave of growth.”
